Syllabus

Unit 1: Course Intro

In this unit, you will glimpse what this course ‘AI Foundation for Robotics’ course is all about.

Unit 2: Probability Through Univariate Models

In this unit, you will learn the basic concepts of univariate probability and use these concepts to help the little cleaning robot, the AI bot, to search for rubbish around the Axiom effectively.

Unit 3: Probability Through Multivariate Models

In this unit, you will learn the basic concepts of multivariate probability. Further, we will explain how to use them in practical applications.

Unit 4: Statistics

In this unit, you will learn to infer parameters from available data using statistics.

Unit 5: Decision Theory

In this unit, you will gain insight into the fundamental principles governing how AI systems make decisions based on statistical parameters collected during training.

Unit 6: Information Theory

In this unit, you will learn basic concepts of information theory and discover how it can be a powerful tool for optimizing the robot’s decision-making process.

Unit 7: Logistic Regression

In this unit, you will learn Logistic regression.
It is a powerful but simple technique widely used in the field of machine learning for classification problems. Its capacity to model the relationship between input variables and one or more output variables makes it an invaluable tool for solving a wide range of problems.

Final Project: Object Detection

For your final project, you’ll craft an AI model to solve a real-world challenge: object recognition.

What our students think

I have had a great experience with The Construct. I believe much of what I have learned thus far regarding ROS has been from these courses and the concepts behind the implementation of ROS have been helpful even outside of ROS applications.

Sam Daly

I’m very happy about working with The Constructsim, it is affordable, it is very comfortable for me, and the tools in the GUI are very useful

Bladimir Bacca Cortes

I really liked the learning approach based on projects and practical examples and I found the final project with an actual robot to be very useful and challenging.
